Underwriting Operations Manager

Soho, New York | Underwriting | Full-time

We’re looking for a Customer Experience Manager to lead a group of Lemonade’s world-class Underwriting Operations team members. In this role, you’ll coach an elite group of Underwriting Operations  specialists as they drive profitable growth and maintain a crazy high level of customer satisfaction.

You’ll focus on helping your team provide surprisingly delightful interactions that make people happy. This role is all hands-on, cheering and coaching your team from the sidelines, and jumping in to help our customers and internal team when the situation demands it. Patience, excellent writing skills, empathy, and a great sense of humor are required.

Requirements
  • 2+  years of people management experience 
  • 1-3 years of insurance experience preferred, personal lines experience a bonus
  • Experienced leader who has coached a team of 5 or more, including remote workers
  • High EQ, and skilled at providing direct and honest feedback
  • The ability to motivate a team of employees with positivity, kindness and accountability 
  • Strong knowledge of customer service principles and practices and a passion for creating the best customer experiences on the planet
  • Solid understanding of tech startup culture
  • Keen eye for problem solving and process improvement
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ‘can do’ attitude required
