Internal Audit, Director

Soho, New York | Finance | Full-time

We’re looking for an experienced internal audit professional who will be responsible for working cross-functionally with key stakeholders to assess and educate on key risks impacting the business. Our ideal candidate will be skilled in proactively identifying emerging risks and exposures related to internal controls, compliance, and governance.

In this role, you will be responsible for the preparation of annual audit plans, and you will also oversee the execution of the internal controls program. In doing so, you will prepare and review documentation of processes, risks, and key controls. You will regularly report audit findings to the Audit Committee and develop management action plans to optimize our controls environment. By researching the latest trends and issues, you will be able to confidently develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures.

  • 8+ years of relevant experience in audit, risk management, or compliance
  • Strong understanding of business and IT general controls, internal control principles (COSO), Sarbanes-Oxley, and NAIC Model Audit Rule
  • Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is required
  • Experience with Workiva Internal Audit Solution tool is preferred
  • You’re an effective communicator, a collaborative team player, and a self-starter
