Governance Associate

Amsterdam, Netherlands | Legal/Compliance | Full-time

We’re looking for a highly motivated, detail-oriented self-starter to support the management of our corporate governance within Europe. 

You will work closely with senior managers across the Lemonade Group, along with external financial advisors and lawyers, to design and implement governance processes and procedures.You will take part in company board meetings and will be integral to their planning, execution, and follow-up, contributing to how we shape, build, and scale our European operations .

Requirements
  • Lawyer (LL.M) with 3-5 years experience practicing in relevant areas such as corporate governance, regulation, risk and compliance, commercial agreements, and privacy
  • Experience working in a similar role within a Solvency II-regulated entity—preferably in the insurance sector—is a must
  • Experience working with senior management and board members, including preparing presentations and executive-level analysis and reviews
  • General experience with regulatory reporting
  • Experience independently managing projects 
  • All-around team player who is a self-motivated, fast learner
  • You’re detail-oriented, and nothing gets past your radar. You have strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent time-management skills and ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Native Dutch speaker
