Claims Experience General Adjuster

Atlanta, Georgia | Claims Experience | Full-time

We’re looking for a large loss professional with outside claim handling experience related to fire, water, and weather losses.

As a General Adjuster within our Claims Experience team, you’ll help us settle large property losses ($100k+) quickly and efficiently. You will collaborate closely with internal and external vendors, as well as senior claims leadership. This will be Lemonade’s first outside position

Responsibilities

  • Investigate, determine coverage, and resolve claims (homeowners, condo, and liability) on a complex level 
  • Travel  to meet with customers on-site and serve as their point of contact throughout the life cycle, ensuring state specific statutes and timeframes are met
  • Complete repair estimates and work with the customer's chosen contractor on revisions and updates
  • Focus on delivering best-in-class claim experience with high levels of empathy, with a knack for anticipating potential issues and clearing roadblocks  

Requirements 

  • 4+ years of general adjusting claim-handling experience (home, renters, condo)
  • Extensive experience with estimating dwelling damage
  • Knowledge of regional and local building particulars and codes
  • Proven ability to work with third parties, including attorneys and forensic experts
  • Experience working with large national property service vendors (ServPro, Crawford and Co. etc.)
  • Currently licensed to work nationwide
  • Xactware expertise 
  • Travel that may exceed 50% of your schedule
