Business Development Director, Europe

Amsterdam, Netherlands | Business Development | Full-time

We’re looking for a senior leader to help build a robust distribution network for Lemonade products in Europe. The right candidate will possess creativity, thought leadership, and a deep passion for working with partners.

In this role, you will focus on identifying, negotiating, and executing partnerships with digital platforms and leading insurance distributors. You will closely work with our Product team to develop potential partner integrations and tools, and with the Operations team to ensure successful implementation of distribution relationships.

You'll maintain extensive knowledge of the broader insurance ecosystem in order to identify new opportunities and build key relationships with decision makers, both internally and with potential external partners.

 

Requirements
  • At least 12 years of experience in a business development or partnerships role at a fast-growing tech company (ideally a direct-to-consumer business)
  • Proven dealmaker who’s a master of acquiring, implementing, and launching successful partnerships
  • Thought leader and self-starter with a knack for generating strategic insights and creative ideas
  • Experienced project manager with the ability to drive cross-functional collaboration
  • A relentless focus on execution that goes beyond strategy and sales, with a strong eye for detail
  • Proven team-builder with experience overseeing small teams of Business Development managers
  • Fluent in German, English, and French.
